The Lyons LM2 Streamliner car – a myth or reality

The American company, Lyons Motor Car, founded in 2011, became the first automobile company in New York for the last 70 years. All this time its founder, Kevin Lyons and his colleagues have been working at the supercar LM2 Streamliner. And now the Lyons has announced the debut of the working prototype at New York auto show. However, the audience has been provided only with design. According to preliminary information, this elegant, stylish and most powerful new car at this time is planned to be released in limited availability. The body of this car is made of fresh design of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, and the basis is a monocoque made of aluminum-carbon. Lyons LM2 Streamliner is equipped with an adjustable suspension, the exhaust system of high strength titanium and brakes which are made of carbon-ceramic by the Brembo manufacturer. Rear-view mirrors are replaced by the digital video cameras, and control over all systems are handled by the 16'' touch screen diagonal. The engine with two turbines with capacity of 8.2 liter and a power of 1,700 hp(Nelson Racing) are mounted in the car. The 7-speed transmission is in the car and its torsion torque makes 19.2 thous. inch-pounds. The LM2 Streamliner hypercar is accelerated up from 0-60 mph in just 2.2 seconds and its maximum speed is 290 mph. According to the designers, there is not any buttons or switches in the car, the control of driving is as close as possible to the super race car driving control. There is no official information about the car price yet, but if you believe in rumors, people, would-be the owners of the most powerful hypercar, will have to pay up more than a million dollars. It is also known that no more than 20 cars will be produced.
